Our client, an international engineering company based in Turriff, has an exciting opportunity for
an experienced Workshop Administrator join their team on a permanent basis.
 
Based on the workshop office the successful candidate will work very closely with the work shop team and management supporting them in a range of administrative tasks. Therefore, experience in a busy administrative role, the ability to work independently and strong Ms Office skills are essential for this role.

The post holder will ensure all documentation relevant to the role is created and is kept up to date.  In conjunction with Manager create and revise systems and procedures by analysing working practices, record keeping systems and IMS documents and ensure they are compliant.  To resolve administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analysing data and identifying solutions.
 
 
 
Job Roles & Responsibilities
 
·Assist with the preparation of technical documentation, for example check drawings, check transmittal, stamp drawings, pdf transmittal, release drawings, print drawings, update folders with current rev drawings
·Complete ECR for as-built drawings and forward through to Engineering
·Transmit workshop documentation to Engineering (raise transmittal and send to PDC), such as weld maps, final weight certs, torque checksheets, pdi's, critical dimensions, flushing certs and hose certs etc
·Add new assets/jobs to WIP List for hire
·Raise requisitions & turn to PO's for all blasting, NDT, and any other department requirements such as mechanical/assembly components, personnel hired into the workshop and steel/profiles for fabrication of new manufactured items
·Create, maintain and complete manufacturing drawing folders
·Requesting Job Numbers for the department and work with Finance to close jobs on the WIP list.
·Update WIP List with completed maintenance and close job numbers
·Liaise with blasting companies to obtain quotes for blast & prime
·Liaise with logistics to arrange transporting of items to blasters
·Order hire assets slings & shackles and paint & paint consumables when required
·Maintain accurate filing systems, print, scan, copy of required documents
·Update / monitor of holiday tracker, C-SAM, & timesheets  
·Support project teams and finance colleagues with monitoring of projects and work to resolve issues
·Check, revise and validate documentation
·Completion of departmental audits and spot checks as and when required
·Compile miscellaneous dispatch notes & service requests as required
·Update department forms, procedures etc for uploading to sharepoint
·Update welders register and liaise with DNV to ensure welders matrix is up to date and stamped as required
·Assist and be an active member in providing adhoc reception cover
·Compile monthly stationary order for on passing to Facilities
·Support meetings as requested and document minutes accordingly
·Provide administrative support to the department when required and to the wider business as necessary, includes involvement with ad-hoc assignments
