Our well established client in Aberdeen are looking for a Sales Manager to join their busy team on a permanent basis.
 
Job Purpose:
·Manage and develop external sales activities for Oilfield Country Tubular Goods (OCTG), accessories and Energy Transition product lines, within designated territories, in line with achieving sales, margins and marketing plan objectives.
·Ensure that customer care and satisfaction is optimised both in terms of designated contract responsibilities and new business opportunities.
·Provide market intelligence and feedback to senior management, as well as market studies.
·The customer focal point for commercial and contractual issues.
·Facilitate contacts for the Technical Sales team and liaise closely with the Contracts Team to ensure optimum contract performance.
·To perform all work, in line with defined procedures, quality, environmental and health and safety standards.
 
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
·Establish sales plans (pipes / services) to achieve forecasts and annual sales target in its sales area, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
·Identify emerging markets (hunting) and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status that's within the OCTG product line or through ETO's.
·Build commercial offer to customer's tenders, or request for quotations for its area while following the internal procedures and coordinate response from different stake holders (tender team / D&I / Controlling, KAM, etc).
·Gather client's new product and services requirements with the Technical Sales department, evaluate their potential and support during their development.
·Build and drive the promotion plan (webinar; sales calls; etc) of Company capabilities and products in its sales area, and lobby towards end users and stakeholders.
·Proposes selling prices by monitoring costs, competition and supply and demand in its sales area.
·Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
·Present sales, revenue and expense reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
·Ensure all work is performed in compliance with defined Company Quality Procedures, Standards and Directives.
 
Knowledge Skills and experience:
·Preferably educated to degree level with previous experience in a senior customer service management position, ideally within the Oil and Gas Industry.
·Possess the ability to operate at a strategic level to identify and capture new business.
·Possess sufficient knowledge of the market situation to report trends which will influence Company Strategy.
·Must have a full UK driving licence.
·Must possess excellent communication, organisational, interpersonal, presentation and negotiating skills as the role will involve liaison with senior personnel across the internal and external customer group.
·The job holder must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of working well both alone and as part of a team.
·Possess the ability to prioritise and co-ordinate multiple tasks to meet targets.
·Good user knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint), as the post-holder will be required to compile and produce reports and presentations.
·The role requires knowledge, understanding and application of Health and Safety Policies, Procedures and Safe Working Practices, Environmental Policies and Procedures and  Quality Policy, Standards and Management System.
