Software Support Technician

An excellent opportunity for a Software Support Technician has arisen to join one of our expanding clients based in Portlethen.

The main objective of the role is to deal with problems, think quickly on your feet to resolve any issues and work proactively to ensure that production standards and quality requirements are adhered to.

Responsibilities and duties to include but not limited to:
- Support commissioning teams with GO LIVE testing.
- Support development teams with software testing.
- Answering calls on the helpdesk, providing first level support.
- Identify the nature of the issues, raising tickets and escalate to the appropriate team
- Provide resident field service support.
- Assist second line support with the investigation.
- Accurate working practises and record keeping.
- Analyse system daily operation reports to track/identify trends opportunities for continued improvement

Qualifications/technical and personal requirements include:
- BSc or HND/HNC with experience in computer/IT science
- Production or Technical support experience (min 1 year preferred)
- Linux environment experience is essential.
- Experience of ISO 9001 operating environment.
- Outstanding ability for accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication for both interpersonal and technical information.
- Accurate keyboard entry skills.
- Strong ethical responsibility towards problem ownership and providing solutions.
- Resilient, proactive, collaborative and adaptive in problem analysis and resolution.
- Professional and honest.
- Intralogistical core competencies would be advantageous.
